THE DANNY LANCASTER PROJECT
Big dreams. Bad advice. Best friends.
A scripted comedy series written and created by JASON BENTLEY JONES
LOGLINE
A gifted Philadelphia comedian juggling a blue-collar job, marriage, and fatherhood chases his big break with two
friends determined to become his entourage - if their shortcuts, schemes, and spectacularly bad judgment don't wreck
his life first.
THE SHOW
Danny Lancaster has the talent to make it. What he doesn't have is a reliable filter for his friends' advice. Between
comedy clubs, neighborhood hangouts, and a home where his wife sees through every excuse, Danny keeps
mistaking the next bad idea for the opportunity he can't afford to miss. His buddies believe in him; they also believe his
success should come with jobs for them.
This Philadelphia buddy comedy turns ambition, loyalty, and the hunger for status into escalating farce. Streetwise
banter, physical comedy, outrageous fantasy sequences, and elaborate cons collide with the genuine affection of a
husband and father trying to build something better.
THE PEOPLE
Danny is a promising comic and devoted family man whose generosity makes him an easy mark. Durell is the
relentless instigator, armed with absolute confidence and another terrible plan. Ron supplies deadpan agreement,
questionable advice, and romantic misadventures of his own. Cynthia, Danny's sharp, no-nonsense wife, sees the
consequences coming; their eight-year-old daughter, Victoria, keeps his dreams connected to what matters. Around
them orbit Durell's slippery cousin Harold, settlement-chasing "Law Suit" LaVonne, and Danny's formidable
grandmother.
THE COMEDY KEEPS COMING
Each episode starts with a career opportunity, a favor, or a bruised ego. The guys take a shortcut, double down, and
leave Danny explaining the fallout.
Pilot:
A mogul's funeral becomes a networking mission involving rented luxury cars and a supposed industry insider
with a very familiar family connection.
Danny's in a Pickle:
Covering Durell's shift in a giant pickle costume sends Danny into a mistaken-identity disaster
while Harold finds a way to cash in.
A Piece of Junk:
An explicit photo and a fake social account threaten Danny's reputation as Durell's wounded pride
turns a woman's indifference into a police matter.

His big break is coming. His friends may get there first.
