After surviving a corporate conspiracy and an attack that nearly kills her, a brilliant young tech executive uses her unexpected fortune to create a secret organization of powerful women who expose and sabotage corrupt institutions—only to discover that the experimental treatment that saved her life has made her the center of an even more dangerous conspiracy.
SERIES OVERVIEW
Kim Blackstone, a rising Black technology executive, discovers that her employer is secretly engineering the hostile takeover of a female-owned tech company while using an illicit AI-powered program to steal proprietary information from a rival.
Company leadership offers Kim a promotion, a massive bonus, and an NDA in exchange for her silence. Kim accepts the agreement but resigns, attempting to return the money. Instead, the company refuses the repayment and adds an enormous severance package, inadvertently making her a millionaire.
Kim uses her newfound wealth and connections to enter the world of international investors, where she meets Omar, a young Arab billionaire who becomes both her business partner and the love of her life. Together they establish a technology company and purchase the very firm Kim's former employer intended to acquire. Because Kim's NDA contains no non-compete provision—something she deliberately had removed—her move is legal.
Her former company responds with violence.
After Kim is brutally attacked and nearly killed, bio scientist Patricia Helms uses an experimental regenerative compound to restore her damaged body. The experience inspires Kim, Patricia, and Omar to establish a clandestine organization of exceptional women.
They call themselves The 40 Elephants, taking their name from the historic British all-female criminal organization.
Using specialists in technology, science, finance, intelligence, engineering, and security, the Elephants conduct covert operations against powerful corporations and individuals they believe have escaped accountability. They steal and publicly release protected information, sabotage dangerous technology, expose hidden operations, and dismantle organizations from within. Omar and his associates secretly provide financing, intelligence, protection, and logistical support.
But the treatment that saved Kim begins destroying her body.
While Patricia searches for a cure, Kim's former colleague Daniel secretly obtains her DNA and develops a treatment of his own. Daniel has always wanted Kim, and his ability to save her draws him increasingly close to both Kim and the Elephants.
Then Omar is forced out of the United States under threat of imprisonment and the destruction of the organization.
With Omar gone, Daniel becomes increasingly important to Kim—and eventually becomes her lover.
