Believing is the first step.
A Group Stone Media Partners Production
OVERVIEW
THE LAND OF MAKE BELIEVE is a prestige fantasy feature film set between the modern world and a visually rich steampunk realm. After five mass shootings occur simultaneously in five different countries, one child from each location discovers an impossible truth: the body beneath the sheet is their own.
Drawn away from the chaos by the distant sound of a flugelhorn, the five children see something no one else can see - a mysterious hot-air balloon called The Respire. As supernatural beings emerge from the crowds and pursue them, the children race toward the vessel and its enigmatic Captain, beginning an extraordinary journey beyond the boundaries of life, death, time, and belief.
LOGLINE
After five children die in simultaneous mass shootings, the sound of a distant flugelhorn leads them to an invisible steampunk airship called The Respire, where belief itself may be the only force powerful enough to carry them beyond death.

THE STORY
Captain Remus waits aboard The Respire, checking his scroll and pocket watch as five children make their way toward the hidden vessel. Protected by a forcefield that also cloaks it from the living world, the ship becomes their only refuge when the figures following them transform into terrifying supernatural beings.
Once aboard, the children begin to understand that their shared belief can alter what is possible. Fear gives strength to the creatures pursuing them, while hope and collective positive energy can empower The Respire itself. Their escape becomes the beginning of a larger journey through a world where imagination, faith, fear, and reality are inseparably connected.
WHY THE LAND OF MAKE BELIEVE?

• A distinctive modern-day / steampunk visual world
• The Respire provides an iconic fantasy vehicle and central story image
• Belief, fear, loss, and resurrection function as both themes and forces within the story
• Ensemble adventure with strong cinematic and franchise potential
VISUAL STYLE
A grounded modern world collides with an imaginative steampunk afterlife: an aerodynamic hot-air vessel hidden inside a shimmering forcefield, antique instruments, scrolls, pocket watches, supernatural creatures, and dreamlike skies. The fantasy grows from recognizable contemporary environments, giving the extraordinary elements emotional weight.
